Some periods are quieter than others. This wasn’t one of them. Between partnership news, industry events, marking 15 years of CJP and more, we’ve been keeping busy. Here’s everything we’ve been up to over the past few months.
Partnership
Bringing Mocap into the Classroom
In April, we announced the CJP Xsens College Programme, giving further education colleges access to the same professional-grade motion capture technology used in studios. This gives students on creative and technical courses hands-on experience with tools already used across the industry.
Expanding Our Role with Xsens
Later in May, we had more Xsens news to share. CJP Broadcast has been appointed as the official UK channel partner for Xsens Entertainment, expanding our role beyond education into the wider film, television, games and wider production.
It’s a relationship that has grown naturally over a number of years through virtual production and motion capture projects across the UK, and one we’re looking forward to developing further.
Milestone
15 Years of CJP
2026 marks 15 years of CJP Broadcast. We’ve grown a lot since the early days, but the way we approach things hasn’t really changed. To mark the milestone, Founder and Managing Director Chris Phillips reflected on how the business has evolved, from its early consultancy work to the projects, partnerships and support that shape CJP today.

Back at Olympia for MPTS 2026
MPTS is always one to look forward to, and this year was no exception. The team headed back to Olympia London for MPTS 2026, where we joined QuickLink on their stand. We had some good conversations about how production environments are evolving and what that means in practice.
Having our 15th anniversary to celebrate alongside it all made this year’s show feel that bit more special for the team.
A Win for the Team
CJP Broadcast was named Studio Network Solutions Dealer of the Year for the UK. The award reflects the work our team puts into delivering storage and workflow solutions that fit how each organisation operates, as well as the strong relationship we have built with SNS. It’s always great to be recognised for both our work and the way we approach every project.
Community
Welcoming RNC Students to CJP
In May, Davide joined us from the Royal National College for the Blind for an eight-week work placement, bringing a background in music technology and audio production. He spent time with the team learning how those skills connect with broadcast and video, and also joined us at MPTS to see more of the industry up close.
For Davide’s final week, we were also joined by Hester and Aiden from the RNC. The group got hands-on with the technology we use, explored different areas of the business and brought plenty of energy to the office along the way.
Supporting Redhouse Boys & Girls Club
Kieran recently took part in a charity football match at the Stadium of Light to raise funds for Redhouse Boys & Girls Club. Following an arson attack and growing demand, the club needs extra support to continue providing young people with a safe place to train, build confidence and spend time with others. It was great to be involved and support the work the club is doing in the community.

Projects
A New Studio for Barnsley College
CJP Broadcast has supplied Barnsley College with a new multi-camera TV studio, complete with a practical set for student projects and Callisto, our own virtual production workstation. The space gives students the chance to get hands-on with camera work, presenting and real-time virtual production tools in a setup that feels much closer to a working studio.
Looking Ahead at What’s Next
There is already a lot taking shape for the second half of the year. Our work with Xsens is continuing to develop, and although IBC is not until September, it has a habit of coming around quickly. We’ll have plenty to share with you next time!
