The Vision

CJP Broadcast Services approached the event with a commitment to promoting blind football and enhancing its visibility. The goal was to deliver an immersive broadcast that not only highlighted the skill, bravery, and teamwork of the players but also brought global attention to the ongoing development of blind sports at the Royal National College for the Blind.

The Challenge

CJP needed to produce engaging and inclusive coverage that effectively conveyed the remarkable talent of blind footballers while ensuring the sport was accessible to a broad audience. The production had to balance live sports coverage with educational content, raising awareness of blind football’s rules, origins, and impact. Additionally, the event required sponsorship support, both to fund the production and to contribute to the continued development of blind sports at the Royal National College for the Blind.

Live Multi-Camera Production

CJP provided comprehensive coverage of all six games, using a multi-camera setup to ensure the action was captured from every key angle. The production included live pitch-side interviews and expert commentary, delivered by BBC Sports Radio presenters, offering valuable insight into the game and the players’ experiences.

Informative and Engaging Content

To further enhance the broadcast, CJP produced a series of short films, aired between matches, introducing viewers to the history and rules of blind football. These features included interviews with the England coach and players, highlighting how the sport has shaped their lives and careers.

Sponsorship and Community Impact

CJP also played a key role in securing sponsorship support from major partners, including Cube International, JVC Kenwood, Mo-Sys Engineering, and GB Labs. Their contributions not only helped fund the production but also provided a net positive financial donation to support the development of blind sports at the Royal National College for the Blind.

“CJP’s coverage highlighted the incredible talent and resilience of our players to a global audience. Their expertise and passion exceeded our expectations, and we are immensely grateful for their role in raising awareness of blind football. This production has opened new opportunities and brought invaluable support to the development of blind sports at RNC.”
