The Q1 Roundup
It’s been a busy start to the year at CJP. Between international trips, industry events, new projects going live and some brilliant visitors to CJP HQ, Q1 has set a strong pace for the year ahead. Here’s a round-up of what we’ve been up to.
Events

Back at ISE – and Barcelona Didn’t Disappoint
The team headed to Integrated Systems Europe in Barcelona, where we spent a few productive days meeting with partners including Grass Valley, Ross Video, Studio Network Solutions, Adder Technology, Ortana Media Group, Mark Roberts Motion Control, Vizrt, AOTO Electronics and Blackmagic Design. It’s always great to see new developments first-hand – and we made sure to enjoy a bit of Barcelona along the way.
Virtual Production in the Spotlight at Buckinghamshire New University
In January, we attended the RTS Technology Centre event at Buckinghamshire New University, where the virtual production studio we designed and integrated was the centrepiece of the evening. Guests were able to see the studio and LED wall in action, with live demonstrations showing how the space supports modern film and broadcast production workflows. The keynote focused on creative problem solving in virtual production, and how the skills can be applied across broadcast, sport, esports and beyond.
International

From Hong Kong to Shenzhen
Chris and Kieran travelled to Hong Kong for a week of meetings across the city, before heading over the border to visit AOTO Electronics’ headquarters in Shenzhen. Seeing the scale of operations up close and spending time with the team behind the technology added real context to the discussions. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, align on upcoming projects and experience some memorable hospitality!
Across the Pond – Site Visits in New York
The CJP team also spent time in New York carrying out site visits across the city. Not a bad place for work to take us – and we made sure to appreciate the view while we were there.
Projects

Pitch-Side and Ready to Go at Cinderford RFC
We completed a new pitch-side media installation for Cinderford RFC, creating a flexible setup for match coverage and community events. What started as a single camera requirement grew into a broader solution – and the club is already putting it to good use.

40 years of Gymnastics, Saved for the Future
We wrapped up a significant digitisation project for European Gymnastics, converting 328 tapes of recorded material into structured digital files – preserving decades of content that was previously locked away on ageing physical media.
“We wanted to preserve our content as it’s our historical legacy. Covering over 40 years of gymnastics history, the value to our community is immense and it deserves to be visible.” – Tina Gerets, Head of Media, European Gymnastics
Insight

Making the Move to Distributed Production
We explored the practical realities of distributed production – what it offers, where the complexity sits, and what to consider before making the shift. Most operations aren’t starting from scratch, so legacy equipment, cloud economics and seamless integration all play a part.
In the Press

Preparing Students for the Real Thing
Kieran featured in AV Magazine’s February issue, discussing why higher education needs to move beyond traditional teaching spaces. Drawing on our experience delivering virtual production facilities for universities, the piece highlights a shift towards studios that mirror real production environments – giving students hands-on experience with the tools and workflows they’ll use after graduation.

Not Just for Broadcasters Anymore
We also featured in TVBEurope, exploring how broadcast-grade tools and workflows are increasingly shaping corporate production, live communications and internal studios. It’s a shift we see every day in our work – and it matters when designing systems that need to perform reliably beyond the traditional broadcast world.
Community

Guitars and Green Screens
We welcomed Oli, Ne-Yo and Lewis from the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) for the first work experience week of the year. They got hands-on with cameras and kit, explored sound and live events, and rounded things off by recording a music video on our green screen. We’re looking forward to welcoming more RNC students throughout the rest of 2026!
Looking Ahead
What’s Next
We’ve got some exciting news on the way around our partnership with Xsens, and MPTS is fast approaching on 13-14 May – so Q2 is already shaping up well. More to share soon!
