CJP Broadcast Announces New Addition to its Engineering Team
Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, November 19th, 2020 – Multimedia systems integrator, equipment specialist and service provider CJP Broadcast announces a new addition to its engineering staff with the appointment of Joseph Franklin. A BsC (1st class Hons) graduate in television production technology, he will be active with CJP colleagues across a variety of projects. “Joe is a very bright and enthusiastic broadcast engineer with proven talent at the cutting edge of robotic camera system development,” comments CJP Broadcast founder and MD Chris Phillips. “His initial role will be in supporting our live video production activity which has expanded rapidly in recent months. As he gains experience, he will progress into wider areas of system integration and technical support.”
“CJP Broadcast is a very welcoming and friendly team with an evident passion for media technology,” Joe Franklin adds. “The company has achieved evident success in the established broadcast market as well as encouraging the wider application of video production and distribution. In the sports area alone, CJP offers practical and efficient ways to reach tightly targeted viewer groups quickly and affordably. The prospect of assisting with the company’s sports production activity is highly motivating before moving on to the systems integration challenges of round-the-clock terrestrial and satellite broadcast engineering.”
Joe Franklin’s three-year degree studies at Solent University included the development of a camera tracking system using passive infrared sensors. Designed for sports applications such as football and athletics, it received a commendation for the Anna Valley Project Prize. Joe also gained work experience at BBC Southampton and as a camera operator and vision engineer at various public events.
