CJP Wins IABM Award for Community Impact
The IABM Awards celebrate organisations, individuals, teams, and innovations that are shaping the future of broadcast and media technology. This month, CJP Broadcast Service Solutions is proud to have received the Community Impact Award, recognising our dedication to sustainability and supporting our local community.
Sustainability has been a key focus for CJP this year, highlighted by achieving carbon neutral certification through Carbon Neutral Britain. Alongside offsetting emissions, we’ve taken proactive steps to reduce our environmental impact, including improving energy efficiency, adopting greener travel practices, and integrating low-impact technologies into our operations.
Our community initiatives further reflect our commitment to making a difference. We’ve long supported St Michael’s Hospice, live streaming their annual Light up a Life event at Hereford Cathedral to help families come together and remember loved ones. Our partnership with the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) has included live coverage of blind football events to promote the sport and create greater awareness, as well as mentorship and hands-on experience for RNC students, helping them develop skills for future careers in media and production.
In addition, we continue to support the Community First Responder (CFR) initiative in Ross-on-Wye, ensuring this vital service remains available to those in need. In addition to financial contributions, Kieran Phillips, Director of Sales and Marketing, volunteers his time to respond to some of the highest-priority medical emergencies in the region. These include Category 1 and Category 2 emergencies, such as cardiac arrests and severe trauma cases where every second counts. CFRs are a huge support to the community, and Kieran’s work ensures that this service continues to make a real difference.
This award is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire CJP team. We are so honoured to have been recognised by the IABM for our work and look forward to continuing our efforts to create positive change in the industry and our wider community.
